Plettenberg Bay
Nous avons profité d’un long weekend pour partir en famille à Plettenberg Bay, sur la Route des Jardins à environ 6h de route du Cap !
Notre choix de logement fut le Robberg Beach Lodge qui se situe à 2 pas de la plage et avec vue magnifique sur la réserve de Robberg.
Au programme :
Détente, châteaux de sable et balades sur la plage de Robberg. On pourrait presque se croire dans la fameuse série ‘Alerte à Malibu’ (Baywatch) version Sud-Africaine. La plage est également très prisée par les surfeurs
Balade avec pique-nique dans la réserve de Robberg qui fait partie du patrimoine mondiale. La réserve offre plusieurs sentiers allant de 30 min à 4h de marche.
Visite de Nature’s Valley qui se situe le long de la réserve de Tsitsikamma. On y trouve également un lagon et une magnifique plage avec sable fin.
Arrêt à ‘Leisure Isle’ à Knysna sur le chemin du retour. Il s’agit d’une presqu’ile avec de magnifique maisons et des sentiers le long du lagon. On se croirait au Zwin à Knokke-Heist en Belgique.
Plettenberg Bay
We took advantage of the long weekend to travel with the family to Plettenberg Bay which is located on the Garden Road about 6 hours drive from Cape Town!
Our choice of accommodation was the Robberg Beach Lodge which was 2 steps away from the beach and with a magnificent view of the Robberg nature reserve.
On the programme :
Relaxation, sandcastles and a walk on Robberg beach. We could almost imagine ourselves being in the South Africa version of the famous TV series ‘Baywatch’. The beach is also popular for surfers.
Walk with picnic in the Robberg reserve which is not only a nature reserve, but also a national monument and World Heritage Site. The reserve offers several trails ranging from 30 min to 4 hours of walking.
Visit of Nature's Valley which is located along the Tsitsikamma reserve. There is also a lagoon and a magnificent wild beach with fine white sand.
Stop at ‘Leisure Isle’ in Knysna on the way back. It is a peninsula with beautiful houses and walking paths along the lagoon. You could compare this place with the Zwin in Knokke Heist in Belgium.
